Meet the Blogger

Hello! My name is Marissa Engelhard. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and English as a Second Language in 2008 from Concordia University Wisconsin. I have taught second through sixth grade in new ministries around the Synod. I have built a 1:1 technology program as well as developed STEAM programs. I also work on social media and website marketing for schools. Currently, I am teaching fourth through sixth grade, elementary Spanish, Sunday school, and a few extracurricular activities at a new school in Missouri.

Q: If you weren't a teacher, what would you want to be?

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was seven years old. However, I went through a phase in college where I wanted to be a lawyer. Today, I would be a full-time blogger.

Flying - to family, for vacation, to explore!

Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I don't really sleep in, but I am definitely more productive at night. 

Q: What is something we might not know about you?

I have been to the 48 continental states. My dad planned about ten years of vacation to make sure we traveled from sea to shining sea.
