Bring Faith Home: The Parable of the Sower

How do we help students bring their faith home? Lutheran schools offer a place where students can learn God's Word, sing praises to Him, strengthen their prayer life, and treat others with Christian care and concern. I want my students to be able to take their faith home, start conversations with others, and apply lessons to their daily lives. Small objects can be a great way to develop conversations about faith. We recently studied the parable of the sower, and the students made the following:

A plastic cup, a Popsicle stick, and a small shoot from the class plants was a simple way for them to take their faith home.

How do you help students take their faith home? Do you inform parents of the Bible stories being studied that week? Could you offer devotional booklets for Lent and Advent? Do you invite families to church and Sunday school each week? Share in the comment section below!
