Student Guest Blogger: The Postcard Exchange

Hello! My name is Juliana. I am a fourth grader in Miss. Engelhard's class. We are participating in a postcard exchange where we send postcards to all 50 states. We are even sending one to Canada!

We have already gotten some. We got one from Montana, Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and North Dakota.

There is a way other teachers can join. Go to http://thepostcardexchange.wikispaces.com/ and enjoy the fun!

The Sunday Scoop - 9/27/15

I have a newfound respect for all of these teacher bloggers. I am very tech savvy, but it is a challenge to keep track of the tools, ideas, and etiquette of blogging. Yet, I love the dedication to our profession that shines through in their work. One can walk into classrooms around the world through the activities, pictures, and link-ups of the blogging community. A link party is a great opportunity to develop relationships with your fellow bloggers. Relationships turns into marketing, and marketing turns into purchases on my TPT store. Without further ado, my link-up!

Five for Friday - 9/25/15

The last Friday of September is here! Time to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

Happy Johnny Appleseed Day! Johnny was at the door to greet us today!

We worked on procedural writing in this apple activity! They did a great job of adding the details!

The procedural writing activity had a great ending! Apples and caramel dip as a special treat for snack!

Our blood was pumping as our bodies moved to Pop See Ko 2.0. How fun would this be to make a #luthed version?

We finished the week with a trip to our classroom store! We learned about the importance of saving this week. We are saving ten percent of each paycheck for a special treat at the end of the school year.

International Dot Day 2015

Happy International Dot Day! Here are some of the activities from my classroom this year:

We learned about circumference in math with Kaleidoscope Art from Splish Splash Slatter.

As we are learning about communities and cultures in social studies, we made aboriginal dot art from For the Love of Art.

We watched The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

How did you celebrate International Dot Day?
